As the economic downturn persists, we continue to think of the following questions:

1. How can we provide our clients with strategies to improve their job searches?
2. What do the industry professionals look for in an application during this competitive market?

Layoffs, buyouts, shutdowns. The news could hardly be more negative for career counselors and coaches. More than usual, our clients are hoping we can see them through a tough spot in their work lives, and as a result, we need to be at the top of our game. This Recruiter Panel discussion presents the chance to bring current information to our clients about how to be more strategic in their job searches by learning the perspectives of the people on the other side of the desk.
 

Join us for this general meeting where we will exchange knowledge with recruiters from the following sectors:  Non-Profit, Business, Government, Health Care, Technology and Consumer Products.  It's a great opportunity for all of us to gain further information regarding hiring trends, the latest recrutiment processes and social media recruiting.

Special Bonus! The CCC is now offering a "Lunch and Network" informal one-hour networking opportunity for you to reconnect with old friends and meet with new colleagues after the Recruiter Panel meeting.  Joining us for this Lunch and Network meeting will be Two More Recruiters: Juanita Allen, Recruitment and Outreach Manager, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Melanie Brennand, Director of Recruitment, City Year.  While we will have these two additional recruiters joining us, there will not be a formal presentation, but rather open time to chat with our guests and with one another.

The Lunch and Network will begin at 12:15 pm and end at 1:15 pm. Anyone interested in staying for lunch is welcome to bring their own lunch (or pick it up at the centrally located Northeastern University Food Court on the first floor of the Curry Student Center) and join us in Room 333, Curry Student Center (Student Senate Room, third floor). Note: There will be sufficient time for folks to pick up lunch and make their way to the new location for the Lunch and Network starting at 12:15 pm.

Members of the Career Counselors Consortium enjoy free admission to this event as well as many other benefits.  Non members may attend for $30; students with a valid college or university ID, may attend for $15.  Fees are payable at the registration desk on the meeting day.
