What internal messages are holding you back? Storytelling requires us to examine the origins of our internal messages. In our discussion of Your Stories Don't Define You, How You Tell Them Will, Sarah Elkins and Jessica Dow will ask you to first explore your own internal messages, and then offer you an opportunity to uncover and share one of your stories!

The book is available at bookshop.orgamazon.com.

About the Author:

Sarah Elkins is a storyteller, communication coach, author and professional musician. Her workshops and coaching programs with in-person and remote teams and their leaders are known to address and reduce miscommunication – the most common cause of tension and stress in the workplace. Using the team’s results from the StrengthsFinder assessment, she guides conversations to ensure work relationships are based on knowing & valuing each other’s strengths, and connecting with each other on the most basic level through story sharing and effective listening. She knows that the key to satisfaction and happiness in life is healthy relationships, and the keys to healthy relationships are self-reflection and communication. Her ultimate goal is to help bring self-reflection and positive intention to the workforce in her work as a communication and public speaking coach, and as a keynote speaker.
