About this event: Join us for a virtual roundtable discussion to hear from industry recruiters about how the pandemic has shaped talent acquisition, the shift to remote and hybrid work and its impact on hiring. We'll also discuss international student hiring, tips to succeed in virtual interviews and stand out in the job market, hiring for diversity, and the impact of technology on hiring (Applicant Tracking Systems, HireVue). At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to connect with recruiters in break-out rooms to network, seek advice, and address questions.

About the panelists:

Nichole Payne, Technical Recruiter, DoorDash

Nichole is a talent management professional with ten years of experience in higher education, five of which were focused on providing support to undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. engineering candidates and hiring managers seeking university talent. She has extensive skills in talent recruitment, program management, and career coaching. Nichole holds a bachelor's and master’s degree from Boston College. Currently, she is working as a Technical University Recruiter at DoorDash.

Jillyan French-Vitet, Director of Talent Attraction Strategy/ Consulting,

Jillyan has over 22 years of experience in talent acquisition. She started her career as a recruiter at Accenture in France and has experience in hiring for internships, early career, and senior roles. She has experience in international recruiting, including recruitment for regional roles based in France, Germany, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Denmark. With experience in leading talent acquisition programs and recruitment teams, Jillyan has a proven ability to lead and deliver effectively in cross-cultural teams. Some of her specialties include internal mobility, external and internal recruitment, thought leadership, candidate/employee experience, talent acquisition strategy, and analytics.

Kyle Thomas, Campus Recruiter, Protiviti

Kyle worked in the financial services industry for several years before making a career transition to Talent Acquisition. He started his career as a Talent Development Associate at Cenlar FSB, a federally chartered wholesale bank that services over 3 million mortgage loans from more than 150 banks, credit unions, and mortgage bankers. As a Talent Development Associate at Cenlar, Kyle developed and executed college recruiting strategies to hire the top talent for early career positions. He has extensive experience in leading the strategy for summer internship and leadership development programs and building strong partnerships with university partners. Currently, he is working as a Campus Recruiter for Protiviti, a global business consulting firm that offers services in internal audit, risk and compliance, technology, business processes, data analytics, and finance.
