The job search process has become more complicated than ever before. As career professionals, we are constantly seeking creative ways to support our clients as they navigate the increased uncertainty in the employment marketplace while encouraging them to look toward meaningful opportunities that will also meet their most practical needs. As we go forward, we need flexible approaches to help our clients best understand themselves so they can adapt to changing environments while remaining aligned with their goals.
In this interactive session, we will explore two approaches to help clients stay on track as obstacles and opportunities show up in their career searches. We will use a process that gives the client an opportunity to identify career and work-related factors that are the most important to them. This will lead to a deeper understanding of their priorities and setting goals that can be structured into an action plan. We will also discuss intrinsic motivation as this is at the heart of what keeps people engaged at work. You will have time to gain experience in these approaches to have a direct understanding of the intent behind each approach.
You will complete the session with two strategic processes you can immediately use with clients to help them develop greater clarity in in their values, direction, and actions toward more meaningful, fulfilling and satisfying work.
