Carl Jung’s theory posits that everyone has natural preferences, and as these preferences develop through life and work, they manifest in predictable behavior patterns. Jung identified two core mental activities, or functions: Perceiving—the preferred way to take in information, and Judging—how information is organized to reach conclusions. The connection between perception and judgment significantly influences career interests and choices.

By integrating a personality assessment with a client’s SkillScan results, clients gain a deeper understanding of their core preferences, boosting self-confidence and motivation. This heightened self-awareness provides crucial insights for identifying career opportunities that resonate with their top skills, personality traits, and work style, accelerating their career focus. Join us for this engaging session where we will: • Explore Carl Jung’s Theory: Delve into the basics of Carl Jung’s theory, with a focus on the Perceiving and Judging functions essential for targeting the right position for optimal fit and performance. • Analyze Case Studies: Walk through two client case studies to demonstrate how SkillScan results align with Perceiving and Judging preferences to strengthen self-awareness. • Narrow Down Career Exploration: Learn to use client preferences to focus career exploration on roles that leverage their skills and align with their preferences. • Discover resources for assessing personality types and strategies for effective career exploration. This is an advanced-level session requiring prior coursework in Carl Jung Theory of Psychological Types or MBTI Certification. See https://www.myersbriggs.org for a refresher.
