Work Interventions Network (WIN):

An International Collaboration of Practitioners and Researchers on Unemployment and Underemployment

This particular series is not intended to duplicate the services currently offered in traditional job search groups; rather, it is a pilot for a project that extends beyond those services, offering a group experience that focuses on the social/emotional aspects of being in a job search. Topics to be discussed include Deepening and Sustaining Relationships, Fostering Social Awareness and Reducing Self-Blame, Building Emotional Resilience and Self-Care, and Planning, Exploring and Engaging in the Job Search. Job searching during a pandemic will also be a focus of this group.

There will also be a research component, and participants will be asked to confidentially evaluate their experience once the group has ended.

Free training on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST. At the training, there will be an introduction/overview which will include:

  • Review of the WIN workshops you will be facilitating
  • Introduction to the WIN workshop manual (sent prior to the training)
  • A description of the research you will be asked to be a part of
  • More details about follow-up/consultations for your organization

The WIN team is thrilled to be able to offer this to career and workforce practitioners and supporting organizations from across the country*.

Please feel free to reach out to Amy Mazur with questions, or if you are interested in this initiative and would like to register, email Amy at acmazur@comcast.net.
